David W. Tralka

President and Chief Executive Officer

David W. Tralka has more than 30 years of experience in banking and financial services. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tralka is responsible for keeping the bank focused on being an innovative provider of financial products and services for the independent agency community.

Mr. Tralka brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the helm of InsurBanc. He is a well-known speaker on the topics of agency mergers and acquisitions, agency perpetuation, and financing and has presented on these topics at numerous venues nationwide.

As a seasoned banker, Mr. Tralka’s career is distinguished by an extensive tenure at Merrill Lynch where he served in a number of senior management positions including President of Merrill Lynch Bank and Trust in Princeton, NJ, and Chairman of Merrill Lynch Community Development Company.

Mr. Tralka holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a BA in economics from Cornell University.

Robert J. Pettinicchi

Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer

Robert J. Pettinicchi, a 25-year veteran of the financial industry, directs all lending activities for the Bank.

Mr. Pettinicchi developed and continually monitors InsurBanc’s loan policies and also chairs the bank’s Credit Committee. He designed the bank’s lending products for independent agents.

During his industry career, Mr. Pettinicchi, a commercial lending expert, has managed lending and credit operations at both regional banks and specialty finance companies.

His past positions include Senior Vice President and Division Manager at UPS Capital Business Credit in Hartford, CT., and Vice President and Regional Commercial Lending Manager at People’s United Bank in Hartford, CT.

Mr. Pettinicchi’s employment history also includes Barclays American Business Credit Inc., where he served as Vice President and Senior Business Development Officer in the Special Industries Finance Division; and Bank of Boston, where he was Assistant Vice President and Credit Officer.

Mr. Pettinicchi is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BS in Finance and holds an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Graduate School of Business.

Scott T. Freiday

Senior Vice President, InsurBanc Division Director

Scott T. Freiday has more than 24 years of experience in domestic and international banking and financial services. As Division Director Mr. Freiday oversees the commercial lending and cash management operations of InsurBanc.

He is adept at lending to companies globally with a specialty niche in financial services. His past positions include an extensive tenure at WorldBusiness Capital, Inc. in Hartford, CT, where he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director. 

Mr. Freiday’s employment history also includes UPS Capital Business Credit, where he was Vice President and served in a number of departments including Commercial Lending, Credit and Capital Markets.

Mr. Freiday is a graduate of Trinity College with a MA in economics and holds a BA in economics from the University of Delaware.
